Hello Ward 12! Our regular monthly newsletter is still to come but, in the meantime, please see below for some upcoming events that you may wish to attend.

Please join us for the second in-person public meeting to discuss the proposed Garner Road widening project where staff will reveal the latest design plans based on public feedback from the first meeting last year. Please note that the road widening is separate from the current work to rehabilitate the water mains under the road surface. Unfortunately, due to timing limitations, the watermain work could not be done concurrently with the widening and as such the two projects will be completed at different times. Where: Ancaster Old Town Hall, 310 Wilson St E.  

A friendly reminder that businesses along Garner Road are OPEN during the construction. Many business owners on Garner have voiced their concerns about the impact of construction on their business so let’s all be sure to support them! The good news is that construction continues to progress ahead of the original schedule, and we will continue to see progress over the next few months.  

Tune in this evening, Tuesday August 20 for a virtual meeting where City Staff will present a draft version of the Watershed Action Plan based on municipal studies, partner reports, and extensive community outreach and engagement. RSVP at this link. 

You are invited to review the draft version of the City of Hamilton Watershed Action Plan and provide your comments or ask questions by September 6, 2024. Once the Plan is finalized, a recommendation report will be brought forward to City Council for approval this fall. Implementation of the Plan is expected in 2025. 

Tickets are going fast for the Ancaster Rotary AM Club’s 26th annual wine, craft beer and food tasting event in the beautiful Dundas Valley. Stroll through the beautiful trails, sipping award winning wines and sampling some of the finest cuisine this district has to offer. Tickets are limited and can be purchased here.
